Here’s everything you need to know about our Tennis and Pickleball programming for Summer 2024!

TENNIS: All Levels (Adult)

Serving Clinic (Tennis) Your serve is a critical part of your game and we’ll serve up the fundamentals. Come explore breaking your serve down and biomechanics. This class is for all levels and is mainly focused on your overall technique. Tues/Thurs @ 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Women’s Drills (Tennis) Meet new friends with this fun hour of drills just for women! It usually is followed by an informal social hour by the courts. Thurs @ 5:00-7:00 PM. Two sessions each Thursday, and if we have full subscription for both clinic hours, then we will book a third hour 7:00-8:00pm for Women’s nights. Those decisions will be made a week in advance based on numbers. Each week features a fun new theme!

TENNIS: Beginner (Adult)

Let's Get Playing! 0-2.0 Learning to play tennis? This class is for you! The hour will focus on teaching you the right technique, practice rallying and making new friends. The feedback will be focused on technique and set-up. Mon/Wed @ 10:00-11:00 AM. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles.

Let's Get Playing II: Fine tune your skills 2.0 This is a step-up from the Let’s Get Playing Clinic. This hour is for players who have developed a proper foundation of all the shots and are ready to further explore the game of tennis. Players will focus on consistency while hitting with a partner.  Recommended clinic: Let’s Get Playing Tues @ 10:00-11:00 AM. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles.

TENNIS: Beginner-Intermediate (Adult)

Fundamental Tennis 2.5-3.5 Now that you know the basics of tennis, it’s time to up your game by learning new shots and developing consistency with the ones you already know. This clinic will focus on technical skills while learning to consistently rally with a partner. Part of the class will also focus on how to hit volley, overhead and approach shots. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles. Tues/Thurs @ 9:00-10:00 AM

Intro to Doubles Strategies 2.5+ Learn basic doubles strategies such as the "yo-yo movement" and how to push the opponent off the court to create an opportunity for your partner. Basic tennis communication skills are also introduced in this class. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles. Tues/Thurs @ 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

TENNIS: Intermediate-Advanced (Adult)

Master the Spins Min. Entry 3.0+ Master various specialty shots such as drop shots, lobs, slices and topspin. This clinic is for players who are comfortable hitting spin on all shots and will focus on skill development followed by incorporating the skill into point play. Tues/Thurs @ 10:00-11:00 AM

Master the Volleys Min. Entry 3.0+ This class is created to explore the different types of volleys such as: catch, punch and block, as well as swinging volleys. Part of the hour will be spent incorporating the learned volleys into point play. Mon/Wed @ 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Singles Strategy 3.5+ Explore the singles game by learning various strategies and point patterns. This hour will particularly focus on the first two or three shots that apply to different game styles. Players must be able to rally with consistency to sign up for this class. Mon/Wed/Fri @ 10:00-11:00 AM

Live Ball Tennis 3.5+ This is an exciting hour of cardio tennis. Hit 500+ balls while getting your heart rate going through tennis-specific fitness and drills. Minimal feedback, maximum FUN! Thurs @ 9:00-10:00 AM

Live Ball Tennis/Cardio Clinic 3.0+; 4.0+ This is an exhilarating hour of cardio tennis. Hit 500+ balls while getting your heart rate going through tennis specific fitness and drills. Minimal feedback, maximum FUN! Sat @ 9:00-10:00 AM; Sun @ 10:00-11:00 AM

TENNIS: Advanced (Adult)

Live Ball Tennis/Cardio Clinic 4.0+ A lively hour of cardio tennis. Hit 500+ balls while getting your heart rate going through tennis specific fitness and drills. Minimal feedback, maximum FUN! Mon/Wed/Fri @ 9:00-10:00 AM

Advanced Doubles 4.0+ This clinic focuses on perfecting a 4.0+ level of doubles, exploring various tactical strategies such as serve and volley, poaching, standing your ground and “I” formation. If you would like to take your doubles game to the next level, this is the class for you. Mon/Wed/Fri @ 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

High Performance (Invitational) 4.5+ This clinic will incorporate competitive drills and advanced point play. Participants should be able to place a serve, serve and volley; have mastered the slice and competed at 4.0+ level. If you’re looking to hone your 4.5+ game, inquire with our Head Pro about this program. Tues @ 9:00-10:00 AM; Thurs @ 10:00-11:00 AM

TENNIS: Junior Clinics

Little Aces - RED Stage 1 (4-5 years old) The hour will be spent introducing children to tennis, developing hand-eye coordination and learning all the ball controls. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles. Mon/Wed/Fri @ 1:00-2:00 PM

Aces - RED Stage 2 (6-7 years old) In this class, children will learn how to rally with the coach and play fun games. The focus will continue on the development of the child player while creating a fun environment where they can connect to the sport and make new friends. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in one-week bundles. Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri @ 2:00-3:00 PM

Orange Aces (8-9 years old) The goal of this clinic is to develop technique and tactics as well as tennis-specific fitness. Children will play on a 3/4 court and use orange, low compression balls. Technical fundamentals such as proper grip for both forehand and backhand is enforced. Serves will be introduced at this stage as well. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in one-week bundles. Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri @ 3:00-4:00 PM

Green Aces (10-11 years old) Players will focus on consistency from a full court with a 75% compression ball (green dot). Set up, preparation and follow-through will be the main focus in this hour. The rules of the game are introduced and fun games will take place. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles — sign up early to avoid disappointment. Girls Tennis (11-15 years old) This hour is dedicated to young girls who would like to explore the game further. It is a relaxed atmosphere where girls can make friends and practice their skills. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles — sign up early to avoid disappointment. Tues/Thurs @ 4:00-5:00 PM

Competitive Training (11-15 years old) This clinic is focused on point play with some tactical feedback. Players must have prior tennis experience and have competed in at least one club or out of the club tournament. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles. Thurs @ 4:00-5:00 PM

Girls Tennis (10-15 years old) This hour is dedicated to young girls who would like to explore the game further. It is a relaxed atmosphere where girls can make friends and practice their skills. Girls will be divided by level of play. Registration for half of the clinic spots opens on April 27 @12pm EDT in two-week bundles — sign up early to avoid disappointment. Weds @ 12:00-1:00 PM

Girls Tennis (12-15 years old) This hour is dedicated to young teen girls who would like to explore the game further. It is a relaxed atmosphere where girls can make friends and practice their skills. Teen Drills (12-15 year olds) This fun-filled hour will be a combined class focused on playing lots of games. The beginning of the class will have basket-fed themes, followed by point play. Mon/Wed @ 5:00-6:00 PM

Teen Drills (16-19 year olds) This hour will be focused of making friends and playing lots of games. It is great for players with previous experience who enjoy round-robin types of activities. Wed @ 6:00-7:00 PM (July 17 & 24)

Stony Slam An All-Levels Fun Day Lace up your court shoes and get ready to play the most fun, multi-level mixer on the lake! PICKLEBALL: All Levels/Events

Pickleball Round Robin Meet new friends with this fun hour of rotating games organized by one of our pros. Mon @ 2:00-4:00 PM. Register up to one week in advance.

3 Picklers and a Pro Clinic New! This is a playing and training session where you and two other picklers will be on the court with our pro (Scott Mikalachki of Taylored Pickleball Pro Academy) and will be put into game play and play-like scenarios to work on strategy, techniques and discuss decisions and options. This is a great opportunity for you to play with and against the pro to understand areas for improvement in a welcoming and fun environment. Friday, July 26, two 90-minute clinics. Registration opens on April 27 @ 12:00 PM EDT.

Pickleball Visiting Pro Clinics New! Four 90-minute clinics taught by pickleball pro Scott Mikalachki of Taylored Pickleball Pro Academy. All on Saturday, July 27, with registration open on April 27 @ 12:00 PM EDT:

  • Learn 2 Play Pickleball (9:00-10:30 AM) Level: None/Beginner.  A 1.5-hour introduction to pickleball which is a great way to learn the basics of this amazing game in a fun, friendly environment. We’ll cover off all the basic fundamentals such as grip, proper stroke techniques, court positioning, simple rules and the serve and return. You’ll end with mini-game play to put all you’ve learned into action. All equipment including paddles is provided.

  • Kitchen Confidence (10:45 am-12:15pm) Level: Advanced Beginner (2.75 – 3.0 rating). The non-volley zone (NVZ), commonly referred to as the kitchen, is a critical area on the pickleball court that requires finesse, strategy, and quick reflexes. For advanced beginners, learning to play the NVZ line effectively can significantly enhance your game and take you to the next level. This 1.5-hour session will be focused on building your confidence, control, and consistency with the play at or near the NVZ through drill based learning and mini game play action.

  • Kitchen Confidence (12:45 pm-2:15pm) Level: Intermediate (3.25 rating). This 1.5-hour session will be focused on building your confidence, control, and consistency with the play at or near the non-volley zone (NVZ aka the Kitchen). We will touch on strategies and techniques to encourage you to implement the soft game while also preparing you to handle the fast-paced balls while at the net and learn how to use your opponent’s shots to your advantage!

  • Drill & Play – 3 RD Shots Experience. Offered at Intermediate Level (2:30-4:00pm). The third shot - drive or drop - is one of the most important shots to master in pickleball. This clinic will focus on improving the quality and consistency of your third shots as well as understanding the strategy around how and why it’s so important. You’ll be put through a series of drills and drill-based games meant to help you improve your performance when attempting this difficult but strategically important shot. Final 20 minutes will be spent in game play action helping you to put this new skill to winning success.
