Maclain Walsworth - Head Instructor Maclain found his love for sailing on Stony Lake many years ago and has been an avid sailor ever since. After spending three years as an SLYC Race Coach, Maclain took on the role of Head Instructor for summer 2025 and did an excellent job leading a talented group of 18 coaches while pulling off one of the largest Cottage Club regattas ever. An active sailor year-round, he spends his winters competing on the University of Victoria Sailing Team. With a background in competitive dinghy and keelboat racing, Maclain is passionate about fostering skill development as well as a love for the sport. Stella started coaching at SLYC in 2025, taking on the roles of both Instructor and Operations Manager. Stella did an excellent job coaching young sailors while also helping the program run smoothly. Stella is passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, improve their skills, and most importantly develop a lifelong love for sailing. Currently entering her third year at McGill University, she is pursuing studies in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Now in her eighth year at SLYC, Chloe has been deeply involved in the program, spending three years as a volunteer and four as a coach. She has a genuine love of tennis and the strong community it creates at Stony Lake. Whether she’s leading clinics on the court or organizing schedules and tournaments in the tennis hut, Chloe brings energy, commitment and care to everything she does. This year, he steps into the role of Head Pro alongside Chloe Paradine. Currently entering his third year at Queen’s University, Malcolm is pursuing studies in Applied Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. Over the summer, he will lead clinics for all age groups, support the development of junior pros and volunteers, and assist with administrative responsibilities. He is very excited to be coming back for another season and is looking forward to seeing everyone around the lake!
