New Summer Job - Operations Manager

Job Description:

Are you looking for position this summer where you can contribute to SLYC and gain very valuable business experience?  We have created a new role called the “Operations Manager” that would be a perfect opportunity to develop these skills.  The person playing this role will work from the Tennis Hut and the Yacht Club and will be responsible for managing the billing, attendance, reporting and other operational aspects of running SLYC all summer. You will also ensure that people participating in our programs have signed all required forms and waivers.  You will be responsible for taking attendance for tennis throughout the week and for taking attendance and resolving issues with sailing on Mondays and ensuring that our online system is completely up to date.  You will bill members and be sure that all the memberships are current and up to date.  When members need help, you will be the first person to work with them. You will also work with the instructors in the sailing and tennis program as you manage these operational issues. Throughout the summer, you will be creating the operations manual with process flows, screenshots and instructions for the position.  This deliverable will allow Operations Manager in the summer of 2018 to have an outstanding training manual.  The experience of this position and creating the Operations Manual this will be helpful to anyone who wants to run a business.

This position reports to the Director of Membership and ultimately to the SLYC Board. 

The hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm June 28th to August 25t,h 2017 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch each day.

The rate of pay is depending upon experience.
